Terms of service

Last updated 21 July 2026

HiFrontDesk is operated by Jigsaw Software Development Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company no. 17190874). These terms are written in plain English on purpose: they are the deal, not the small print.

The service

HiFrontDesk answers phone calls your business would otherwise miss, using an AI assistant trained on your business information. It tells callers clearly that it is an AI assistant and that calls are recorded, answers questions from the information you provide, takes callback details, and emails you a report of each call. It is an answering service, not a human receptionist, and it never takes payments or gives professional advice to your callers.

Your free trial

The free trial runs for seven days from signup. Card details are taken at signup but nothing is charged during the trial, and you can cancel at any point before it ends at no cost, in one click from any of our emails or through the billing portal. If you don't cancel, your paid subscription starts automatically when the trial ends.

Price and billing

HiFrontDesk costs £199 per month per site, billed monthly in advance, rolling with no minimum term. Payments are handled securely by our payment partner, and details of the merchant of record are shown at checkout and on your receipts. Prices exclude VAT where applicable, which is shown at checkout.

Fair use

Each site's subscription includes 1,200 answered minutes per month, which is far more than a typical site misses. Beyond that, additional minutes are charged at 12p per minute. The free trial includes up to 150 answered minutes. We'll always tell you before fair use ever affects you.

Cancelling

Cancel any time through the billing portal linked from our emails. Your service runs to the end of the period you've paid for, and your divert is yours to switch off whenever you like by dialling ##002# from your phone. We'd rather keep you by being useful than by making leaving hard.

Your callers' data

You stay the data controller for your callers' information; we process it on your behalf, only to run the service, as described in our privacy notice. Call transcripts are kept for 90 days by default and then deleted. You agree to use HiFrontDesk in line with UK data protection law, including making sure a divert to an AI answering service is appropriate for your callers.

Acceptable use

The service is for lawful business use. Don't use it to mislead callers, to handle emergencies (it is not an emergency service and is designed to direct genuine emergencies to 999), or to collect information you're not entitled to collect. We may suspend service that's being abused, and we'll always talk to you first unless the abuse is serious.

Availability and changes

We aim for the service to be available around the clock, but like any service built on telephony and cloud infrastructure we can't promise perfection, and brief interruptions or maintenance windows can happen. We keep improving the product, and we'll tell you about any change that meaningfully affects how it works for you.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you in any twelve-month period is capped at the amount you've paid us in that period, and we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business opportunities. The service doesn't guarantee any particular business outcome.

The legal frame

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.
